Woman to appear in court after motorcyclist dies on busy Lincolnshire road

A 26-year-old woman has been summonsed to court to answer a charge of causing death by dangerous driving. A motorcycle rider died following a crash with a Vauxhall Corsa on the B1192 Langrick Road, between Coningsby and the village of New York, at around 8.30am on Friday, July 21, last year.

The rider of the motorbike – a man in his 60s – died at the scene. Drivers were asked to avoid the area when police closed the road at 8.58am. Traffic in the area was badly affected, with monitors saying it was moving ‘very slowly’.

Danielle Barrett, 26, and of Steadman Court in Horncastle, has since been summonsed to court to answer a charge of causing death by dangerous driving.

Barrett will appear in Boston Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
