The woman reported being approached by a man she did not know at the junction with Elizabeth Avenue and getting struck which knocked her to the floor. She also reported being verbally assaulted and has been left very shaken by the incident and with bruising to her arm.
The man was described as being in his 50s and between 5ft 10 and 6ft tall, with short grey hair, and was wearing blue jeans and a dark coloured jacket, and light-coloured trainers. Lincolnshire Police said the assault happened in a very busy road in the middle of the day and believes there will be people who witnessed it who may have information which could help the investigation.
The force is keen to view any dashcam footage from people who were in the Lincoln Road and surrounding streets between 12.20pm and 12.30pm and may have captured either the incident itself or the suspect as described. Police are asking for anything that might help, no matter how small you think it is, to be shared with them to help the investigation.
