Two women have been charged with stalking offences after multiple reported incidents in a Lincolnshire village. The offences, which allegedly took place in Bassingham, led to charges after a lengthy investigation by the local Neighbourhood Policing Team.
Police received multiple reports of incidents involving people in the village which ranged from vulgar language and spitting, to verbal threats, since July. Linda Lu, 34, and Susan Chen, 60, both of Linga Lane in Bassingham, have now been charged with stalking involving serious alarm and distress, and failing to comply with a Community Protection Notice.
Both were charged on October 10 and appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, October 11. They were remanded into custody pending the next hearing, which will be at Lincoln Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.
