Tickets have gone on sale for a ‘Christmas Spectacular’ at a popular family park near Lincolnshire. Sundown Adventureland, near Retford, will be transforming into a winter wonderland between November 18 and Christmas Eve (December 24).
Tickets went on sale on Monday, September 4. Debs Griffin, director at Sundown Adventureland, said: “We’re hugely excited to be launching our tickets for the Christmas Spectacular and can’t wait for everything this wonderful season has to offer.
“Every year, we’re astounded by how popular our Christmas event is, as it sells out extremely quickly and it just seems to be getting more and more popular. A special time of year for so many families, we strive to make the experience unique, magical and a memory that families will treasure for years to come.”

During their trip, visitors will be invited aboard a sleigh for a ‘mesmerising journey’ to Father Christmas’ grotto. They’ll get the opportunity to meet the main man himself, taking home a specially wrapped Christmas present.
Having opened last year, the Four Seasons Arena will be at the heart of the event. Decked out with lights and decorations, the organisers promise it will be a ‘feast for the senses’.
Live entertainment shows and festive food and drink will be on offer, including mince pies, hot chocolate and (non-alcoholic) mulled wine. Tickets start at £19 for adults and £23 for children.
Discounts are available for over-65s, Blue Light holders and disabled guests. The tickets include full access to the wider park on top of the Christmas event.
Visitors can also spend the night at the Wild Acre Village, with every stay including tickets to the grotto and park wristbands.
