Pensioner found dead in ditch next to mobility scooter by quiet road in Fulstow

A pensioner was found dead after an apparent incident involving her mobility scooter, police say. Lincolnshire Police received a call at 4.30pm on Sunday, October 22 saying that a woman and her blue mobility scooter were in a ditch at the side of Thoresby Road in Fulstow.

The 82-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin has been informed and is being supported by specially trained officers, the force says.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “We believe that the mobility scooter was being driven along the road, and at this stage, we are investigating the full circumstances to understand how and when she came to leave the road.” It is believed she had been travelling westbound along Thoresby Road towards North Thoresby, from Churchthorpe and Fulstow way.
