Pensioner dies after being hit by car in Lincoln

A pensioner has died after being hit by a car in Lincoln, police say. The man, aged 76, died in hospital on Monday, November 13.

He was involved in a collision with a car in Brayford Way in Lincoln the previous night (Sunday, November 12) and airlifted to hospital in a critical condition. A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said on Tuesday afternoon the investigation was ongoing and widened the appeal.

They said: “Our appeal yesterday asked for footage which showed a black Ford Focus or a man wearing jeans and a shirt. We are now asking for any dashcam footage, particularly from vehicles either on the university bridge heading towards the roundabout, or on the roundabout, between 10pm and 10.10pm on Sunday 12 November, so we can view it and determine if the contents have information which could help our investigation.

“The smallest details can often be the most important.” Officers are also keen to see any footage of Tritton Road around that time.
