A new Travis Perkins store will soon be opening its doors to customers and is set to create 28 new jobs. The building material supplier will be opening a new branch on Monday, November 6 at Teal Park in North Hykeham.
It will be 3.05 acres in size and will be opened by Lincoln Mayor, Richard Wright. The site will allow customers to hire tools, plant and specialist equipment.
It also has a brand new Benchmarx kitchen display showroom, plumbing and heating and bathroom range and hard landscaping display. Branch manager of Travis Perkins, Alex Pittock, said: “Our 28-strong team is excited to be opening our doors to the tradespeople and builders of Lincoln.
“This branch will have everything they need, when and where they need it, and will deliver value, convenience and consistency in a more sustainable branch, with a fantastic delivery and collection service that doesn’t compromise on time.
“The branch is a huge investment for the local area and is purpose-built with an extensive product range to support our customers with choice, quality, and brilliant service day-in, day-out. We’re looking forward to welcoming and supporting all of our customers and to continue doing what matters for the trade.”
In order to minimise carbon emissions by 90 per cent, the site will include electric forklift trucks, charging points, solar panels and a heat source pump. Customers can use the one-hour click & collect service, next day delivery as well as a branch delivery tracking service to get notifications in real-time without needing to mak a phone call.
Customers call also use the Travis Perkins app where they can order instantly. The new site will be located at Whisby Road, Teal Park, North Hykeham, LN6 3AG.
