Man is ‘stabbed in the stomach’ in Lincoln High Street

A 26-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent following an incident in Lincoln, today (June 13). Armed officers attended a property in Portland Street and made the arrest at 6.35pm.

The man remains in police custody. It followed an alleged assault at Merkur Slots, on the city’s High Street, which was reported to police at just after 10.45am. Lincolnshire Police said: “A man in his 20s was found with a stab wound to his stomach.

“He was taken to hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. We are now appealing for anyone who saw the assault, or any suspicious activity in the area at the time, to get in touch with us.”
