A Lincolnshire shopping centre has opened its annual Winter Wonderland walk and kids can go for just £1. The popular event has returned to Springfields Outlet Shopping & Leisure in Spalding and features a unique journey of lights with one million bulbs through the Festival Gardens.
The new, longer walk has been designed with brand-new zones including a neon tunnel entryway. The Momotaro Garden is another new feature this year, providing a tranquil trail which meanders through a traditional Japanese design show garden.
Other highlights include a 12-metre-tall Christmas tree and a 36-metre-long light tunnel lit by 10,000 bulbs. The Springfields outlet, with more than 55 stores, has also been decorated ready for the Christmas shopping season.
Proceeds from the Winter Wonderland walk will go towards the Lincolnshire NHS Charity, Springfields’ charity of the year, in support of Johnson Community Hospital in Spalding. Prices are £4 for adults and £1 for children with no booking fee. All tickets must be booked online in advance, on the Springfields website.
Springfields spokesperson, Adam Whittaker, said: “The Winter Wonderland Walk has become an annual tradition for many families and is a must-see every year at Springfields as part of the Christmas shopping experience. Our longest and best walk yet promises to be unforgettable with new light features, whilst benefiting the local community by helping raise funds for an important cause.”
This year’s Winter Wonderland walk is open from November 3 until December 23.
