Police are appealing for information after four plaques were stolen from a grave in Lincolnshire. The four brass plaques were stolen from a grave in Stamford Cemetery within the last month, with one plaque belonging to WW1 sapper Oliver Smith, who was killed in action.
Officers say that all plaques belong to the same family. They are now looking for any information which could help with their investigation into the theft.
A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “If anyone has any information to assist police with the enquiries or locating the plaques, then please contact the Lincs Rural Crime Action Team, quoting occurrence number 2300554541.”
