A Lincolnshire landmark will be lit up for Christmas, with tickets on sale for £11. Lincoln Castle Illuminated will return in December, with organisers promising a ‘bigger and brighter’ show than ever before.
The annual event sees the castle atop Steep Hill bejewelled with festive lights and Christmas hallmarks. Cllr Lindsey Cawrey, executive member for heritage and culture at Lincolnshire County Council, said: “Lincoln Castle Illuminated has been the perfect way to start your Christmas festivities for a few years now, and this year we’re dialling up the magic with even more lights, traditional rides and some festive food and drinks.
“Autumn may just be beginning, but tickets for popular dates sell quickly so plan ahead to secure the date you want, and give yourself a magical night to look forward to.” Visitors will be able to walk around the walls of the castle, taking in the night-time views and getting a unique angle on the glittering Christmas lights.
Alongside the views, there will be local food and drink vendors offering ‘winter warmers’ like mulled wine and hot chocolate, fairground rides, and a chance to see resident dragons, Lucy and Norman.
Tickets are on sale at £11 for adults, £10 for concessions and £6 for children.
A family ticket will cost £28.
