A Lincolnshire country house has decided to close its outdoor spaces due to high speed winds. Belton House, near Grantham, announced it will close its gardens, parkland, and outdoor adventure playground on Tuesday morning (September 19).
Winds are set to reach speeds of up to 45mph in the Grantham area, with other parts of Lincolnshire also experiencing high winds. The winds are expected to be at their highest at around midday before gradually dying down throughout the afternoon.
Yesterday, Belton House tweeted: “Calling all weather watchers, we are aware that there are high winds predicted for tomorrow. We will keep you all updated on our social media channels regarding any closures, and we recommend checking before travelling tomorrow.”
A statement was then released this morning, confirming the closure: “Belton’s outdoor spaces will be closed this morning due to high winds. This includes the gardens, parkland, and outdoor adventure playground.”
