AD FEATURE: White Hart Hotel is an elegant place to eat, drink and celebrate

One of Lincoln’s most iconic and recognisable hotels has recently undergone a major transformation, have you taken a look yet?

Purchased in 2022 by Lincolnshire businessman, Andrew Long, the White Hart Hotel has been completely refurbished and reimagined.

Now, it offers the ideal setting for socialising over drinks with friends and family, indulging in unforgettable dining experiences, and marking significant milestones and life events.

Originally one of the oldest coaching inns in the region, the hotel sits on Bailgate, one of the city’s most historic streets, within yards of the iconic Lincoln Cathedral and medieval Lincoln Castle.

Refurbished and reimagined

As well as a tasteful renovation of its bedrooms, the hotel now proudly features the fully refurbished and renamed Colonnade Cocktail Bar & Lounge.

Sitting at the very heart of the hotel, the bar serves a variety of signature cocktails and holds regular live music throughout the week.

A new addition to the hotel is the Gibson Club Bar, a cosy yet refined bar suited to more relaxed occasions. Warm and welcoming, it allows for intimate drinks in elegant surroundings.

The hotel’s stylish new Antlers Restaurant serves the very finest local and seasonal produce from a host of local suppliers and artisan producers.

It also offers the option of private dining in a newly created and light-filled dining room at the rear of the restaurant, perfect for intimate celebrations, or a touch of style for business meetings.

In addition to the refurbishment of the bedrooms, bars and restaurant, the White Hart’s wedding offering has also been significantly upgraded, with a range of options for couples to tie the knot and celebrate in style.

Alongside weddings, the hotel offers a variety of impressive and adaptable spaces for meetings and celebrations, for smaller, more intimate gatherings, through to full conference-style affairs.

Ambitious plans

Owner, Andrew Long said: “Since acquiring the White Hart, we have had ambitious plans to turn it into one of the most elegant and desirable hotels in the region.

“The comprehensive, yet sensitive and respectful refurbishment we have carried out on Lincoln’s most historic hotel ensures that it can now be seen as the city’s leading ‘special occasion’ destination for both locals and visitors alike.”

Andrew has also acquired the nearby Judge’s Lodgings, a similarly historic gem close to the White Hart Hotel on Castle Hill.

He plans to refurbish and redevelop the Judge’s Lodgings in conjunction with the former White Hart Hotel Garages and 2 Bailgate.

This will provide fully serviced apartment-style rooms, a restaurant and a licensed cafe bar, together with a high-quality retail arcade, as well as an upgraded customer car park.
